 “The purpose of The Peters Independent Living, Program, under the direction of Sean J. Peters, Executive  Program Director, is to develop independent living skills by creating opportunities, encouraging choices, advancing equality access and increasing the visibility of all people with disabilities.  PIL’s supportive and instructional services are based on a “person centered” approached.  The services offered to the mentally and physically disabled adults are culturally competent and tailored to meet each participant’s needs. We are designed to support independent living skills to a community that has been ignored, rejected and deemed incompetent but with our services, have blended in the community and are capable of living independently.  At home, work or school, opportunities and full integration is our goal.”
